He was arrested recently due to insider trading by Square Enix in the conducted investigation. He reportedly purchased 10,000 shares worth 2.8 million yen from a developer called Aiming. The incident happened just after he was set to co-develop Dragon Quest Tact alongside Square Enix.
Dragon Quest Tact is a game developed back in 2020. According to reports, Naka bought the share to resell them at higher prices after the game reveal an increase in the value of the share prices.
Dead Island 2 Delayed
Dead Island 2 is one of the most awaited games in the market. Gamers are waiting for it for a long time. It was earlier discussed in public by the company that the game will be available to play from 3 February. But unfortunately, that wasn’t going to happen.
Dambuster Studios recently revealed that they decide to drop the decision of releasing the game on February 3. Dead Island 2 game will hopefully be released on April 28. The Studious revealed that they are giving time to their team members.
So they can present a game that is actually worth the wait. Some Dead Island Fans are appreciating the Studious Decision because they know that perfection in something takes time. However, This will also prevent releasing Dead Island during a busy period of the year.
NetEase Ends 14 Years Deal With Blizzard
NetEase is a famous company that ends a 14-year contract deal with gaming company Blizzard. The contract will last for a couple of months and will be ended by January 2023. This means that popular titles like Overwatch 2, World of Warcraft, and Hearthstone will go offline in the country.
Blizzard company revealed that the deal wasn’t fulfilling the terms and principles of the company that why they decided to part their ways with a Chinese company. On the other hand, NetEase stated that contract cancellation will not make a huge impact on Sales.
